Overview of Ozcrete
Ozcrete has been building swimming pools in Queensland since 1988 and specialises in the construction and repair of commercial and high-end domestic pools. These range from 50m wet decks, down to architectural designed water features and pools.
Ozcrete highly skilled base of tradesmen are experienced in the production of commercial swimming complexes and all associated works. Ozcrete has always worked closely with government organisations and local councils, thus giving them an excellent understanding of how they work to ensure that all necessary requirements and criteria from Local Government are met. Ozcrete has over 20 years of commercial swimming pool experience with an excellent track record in delivery times and budgets.
Ozcrete has close ties across Queensland’s pool building industry and run a constant feedback and control program. The program aims to constantly update and monitor the quality of work, and how any new technology and products can be incorporated into the existing methods, therefor increasing quality of work and efficiency.
Methodology
Ozcrete's staff are highly proficient as they are trained across multiple skill sets. This allows for the majority of the work to be undertaken without waiting for additional contractors. Each staff member covers a set of basic skills from concreting to tiling and plumbing. This also gives an advantage, that we have a redundancy if a member of the team is not available.
Ozcrete firmly believe that simplicity and reliability go hand in hand. The small team's work methods reflect this demonstrating the successful completion of a 25x18m wet deck pool in less than 4 months. The systems and methods used are truly tested and have proven to be the most reliable methods for wet deck pool construction.
Innovation
Over time Ozcrete have tried numerous techniques and methods to decrease the time and effort to build swimming pools. They now have a series of inventive techniques used to construct the wet deck shells with inbuilt balance tanks using sprayed concrete. These shells have proven to be above current standards for reliability and cost effectiveness.
All form work and specialized equipment is fabricated onsite and each of the qualified builders on staff is skilled in the construction of the specialised jigs. The innovative pool designs eliminate nearly 80% of the reticulated piping required.
The cost savings have allowed Ozcrete to increase the balance tanks size and total catchment volume, allowing an almost negative evaporation rate in areas of moderate to high rain fall. Ozcrete’s ongoing quality control processes have allowed for the use of market leading additives being used throughout tiling and rendering, demonstrating a dramatic decrease in failures of tile adhesion and render beds.
